Dear Sir/ Madam,
 ART-HAVANA has been promoting Cuban contemporary art since 1999
Groups from museums, art centers as well as individual collectors have
visited Havana thanks to Art-Havana. They have learned its history and
culture through historian-guided city tours, also by visiting museums, art
galleries, and the studios of the most important contemporary artists from
Cuba.
In 2004 ART-HAVANA created an art space to promote the work of the most
promising emerging artists. ART-HAVANA represents a number of contemporary
artists from Cuba and has supported, in part or entirely, the work of some
of the youngest emerging artists projects.
As early as 1999 art-havana began
to create his collection of electronic publications that includes electronic
catalogues/dossiers containing the work of some of the most important
contemporary artists from Cuba.
 This collection also contains interactive CD catalogues on art events and
architecture. It is in libraries of art centres and museums such as Museum
of Modern Art, New York; Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, Havana, and Spain
Cultural Centre in Havana among others. Some of these electronic catalogues
are available online only through this website.
ART-HAVANA is advised by
internationally recognized curators from Cuba on which artists and
exhibitions to visit. Some of them contribute with their works to this
website critique.

I took a day´s tour with Art-Havana (art-havana.com), an online gallery created to meet the growing international demand for Cuban art, who also arrange guided tours of artists´ studio-homes... I learned more about modern Cuba from these artists in one day than I did in the rest of my two-week trip.
