"Aziyadé has become a relater and an archeologist for the strength of a familiar tradition profiled by the feminine. She put her eyes in that part of childhood, which sometime we’ve lost without noticing, restoring the psychological details of women which, tide up to tradition, usually not by her own will, have been membered by history, prejudice, the different scales of power and by the circumstances, without losing in the consecution of what can be considered their destiny, the necessary qualities even indispensable, for a sustained resistance". (Trás el ojo del agua, Caridad Blanco (2001)). Aziyadé Ruiz graduated from the Higher Institute of Art (ISA) in 1996.
