Ricardo Rodriguez, writer and photographer, was born in 1970. He studied at Havana School of Photography, having his first solo show in 2000 as the result of working together with Voluminosa Dance Company to present Ramiro Guerra’s “Fedra”. Ethno-poetry is the name of an exhibition where he presented his works in 2004. as part of a Cuban-French project. This same year exhibits a series of works as part of “Los Días de la Danza” Festival under the name Give Me a Body at Tina Modotti Gallery in Havana. “Before The Emptiness” is one of his most important photographic essay which documents Guanabacoa town architecture. This series is exhibited as part of “French Week” organized by French Alliance at Concha Ferrant Gallery in Havana in 2006. He shows “Visions” as part of a parallel exhibition during The Ninth Havana Biennial. Guanabacoa 4D, Architecture, History and Memory was awarded by Spanish Embassy in Havana. He has exhibited his works in a group shows as The National Salon for Erotic Art in 2005 and My Courtyard at Concha Ferrant Gallery in 2006. His photographs have illustrated a number of magazines and newspapers in Cuba. |
